Join me in a heartfelt ceremony. Altars, ancient portals to anchor our prayers/intentions, serve as bridges between us, our council, and our heart’s path. In this ceremony, we will explore the profound art of weaving and tending to an altar—an extension of our very being. Guided by the loving presence of elemental companions, we will delve into the transformative power of intention and embodied presence. The essence and significance of an altar. How to weave an altar as a reflection of your heart. Techniques for establishing and nurturing a connection with your ancestors and inner council. The sacred practice of tending to your altar with reverence. The art of gracefully closing your altar, completing the cycle of intention. Our time together will be a soul-nurturing journey, offering a glimpse into the profound beauty of being in relation with ourselves, our Earth Mother, and our inner council through the creation and illumination of our personal altars.

The kitchen is an altar, a site of ceremony, and a space where ancestral memory is activated through the foods we prepare and the tools we use. In this virtual session, we will explore the healing power of ancestral foodways and culinary technologies—such as the comal, molcajete, and barro cookware—as instruments of connection, balance, and cultural reclamation. Rooted in Indigenous traditions of the Americas, this offering will guide participants through the significance of these tools, not just as cooking instruments, but as vessels of knowledge and continuity. We will explore how the rhythmic grinding of a molcajete, the slow heating of a comal, and the intentional preparation of ancestral foods serve as acts of healing, prayer, and storytelling. Through guided discussion, storytelling, and sensory reflection, participants will deepen their relationship with the ancestral kitchen, understanding food as medicine and cooking as a sacred practice. This session is for those seeking to honor their lineage through the foods, tools, and traditions passed down through generations, reaffirming that nourishment is a ritual and our kitchens are sacred spaces of remembrance, activation, and resilience.
