Join us for an enlightening 8-week journey into the heart of curanderismo, where we will embark on a profound exploration of healing, ancestral wisdom, and community connection. In this workshop, we will create a sacred container to rediscover our roots and reclaim traditional healing practices.

Curanderismo is an ancient healing tradition deeply rooted in indigenous cultures across the Americas. In this immersive workshop, participants will have the unique opportunity to learn directly from esteemed and trusted indigenous healers, sharing family remedies and delving into the living practice of curanderismo.

The workshop will consist of virtual meetings held every Monday, starting September 30th and concluding on November 18th. Each session will be a dynamic blend of teachings, interactive demonstrations, group discussions, and experiential learning, fostering a supportive and transformative community environment. We Will Cover:

COSMOVISION + SACRED DIRECTIONS: Delve into ancient Mesoamerican cosmovision and worldview, learn about our sacred directions and their energetic significance as well as the philosophy at the root of our indigenous spiritual practices.
DREAM + SHADOW WORK: An introduction into the symbolism of the dream world and the shadow self. We will explore techniques and herbal allies to awaken the subconscious mind and heal inner and ancestral wounds with the power of the obsidian mirror.
LIMPíAS - FIRE + EGGS: Learn energetic cleansing / limpia techniques as well as reinforcing our practice for continuing student. We will be focusing on energetic cleansing with eggs and fire for fall season.
SPIRITUAL PLANTS MATERIA MEDICA: Integrate the sacred teachings of our plant relatives from a Curanderismx perspective. We will discuss the plants ad flowers used for limpías, rituals, and common remedíos.
ALTARS + ANCESTRAL VENERATION: We will share the symbolism of the ritual altar, as we connect with ancestral spirits for the Día de los Muertos season. Learn safe methods of connecting with the spirit realm and protocols for ancestral offerings. 
PROTECTION + RITUALS FOR THE HOME: Safeguarding rituals and techniques for protecting the home and family. Learn how to perform a house limpía/ cleansing ceremony and other tips to shield yourself from negative energy and create harmony in any space.
SACRED MUSHROOMS: Guest lecturers will share the wisdom of the Sacred mushrooms, used for powerful healing ceremonies in various indigenous communities. We will learn how to engage with these sacred teachers mindfully and with respect to the lineage of these traditions.
ANCESTRAL SKILL SHARE + CLOSING CEREMONY: For our closing ceremony participants will have the opportunity to share their own ancestral remedies and recipes, exchanging knowledge as we close our sacred container.
