The Curanderx Toolkit
Join us for the Final Season of The Curanderx Toolkit
A completion of it’s first 13 year cycle, the class will enter indefinite hiatus.
Join us as we create space to learn, heal, and grow as we connect with ancestral medicine, discover our herbal allies, and build our community of curanderx. This class is an introduction to the cosmology, philosophy and practices of curanderismo. The intention of this class is to create a safe and supportive space for each person’s self-exploration, personal healing and connection to their own unique healing gifts. Participants will learn practical skills to apply to their own self-care and wellbeing. Topics covered include herbal medicine & medicine making, dream work, limpias, ancestral healing, grief work, and more.
Our teaching team includes Atava Garcia Swiecicki, Cera Merrick, Elisa Soto, Eleanor Barron Druckrey plus a special line up of guest maestrx.
We recommend taking both the fall and spring sessions of this class for the most complete educational experience. Although some of the foundational concepts of curanderismo will be covered in both series, each season has a unique line up of classes and features different guest teachers.
About the Course
The Curanderx Toolkit class was dreamed up by Atava Garcia Swiecicki, which she first offered in 2011. After ten years of being only offered in person, this class is now available online.
This class is also the inspiration for her book, The Curanderx Toolkit: Reclaiming Ancestral Latinx Plant Medicine and Rituals for Healing.
